Most other rain barrels require frequent maintenance to prevent clogging, mosquitoes, overflow and winter weather. The RainReserve Rain Barrel system is designed to be one of the most easily maintained rain barrel systems. In order to preserve long-term functionality of your RainReserve Rain Barrel system, it requires just a few maintenance steps.

Primarily, the rain barrel owner will be required to periodically check the diverter to ensure it hasn't clogged with leaves or debris. This process is easy with our RainReserve diverter's integrated door. Simply slide the door up and pull out any accumulated debris.

Prior to the freezing temperatures, remove the tubing from the diverter and tank/barrel. Place both Diverter winterization caps on the Diverter outlets. Finally, empty your barrel and indoors or upside down away from the elements so that the barrel cannot fill with water.
